Sudo vi /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.me.restart_smb.plist Sudo chmod 644 /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.me.restart_smb.plist Sudo chown root:wheel /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.me.restart_smb.plist Sudo touch /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.me.restart_smb.plist What did work for my apple smb being unstable was this: The uninstaller did not work either, I had to go manually do it. It caused a billion throttling respawn errors in my sys log and crashed smb a few times a week. I would use this if I can be assured that I would get my shared computer back in the finder and it would work, but with my experience it wa s no go, and it seems that I had better luck with things the way they were. I went through the process of deleting/uninstalling it, and it might have deleted correctly, but I cannot see my windows shares in the finder at all, which is kind of annoying cuase I liked being able to access them like that. Basically I want every trace of this proram uninstalled/trashed from my computer. I was going to use smbUP to configure sharing with my xbox, but dont want to break compatibility with the native apple protocols, and just figured I'd leave my windows machine to stream to my xbox until something comes about with apple. It shows my imac share so I believe that the native afp is still working. I just want my shares back in the finder. I dont think think I ruined anything as I can still connect to my shares from the go->connect to server option, so theres some kind of smb there. I tried the typical commands which I cant rememberĪnd a few others. I just want to get back to the way things were and I dont think the developer is going to help, so could somebody help me out? I understand terminal a bit and tried some commands from and I'm not sure what happened from there. Passing non-absolute shell paths is not currently supported'. When I tried to run the app again to make sure I uninstalled everything correctly I got "An exception of class UnsupportedFormatException was not handled. I emailed the developer and responded to him as soon as he responded to me and he only emailed me back once with " What errors did you get when trying to run the built-in uninstaller" I emailed him back and told him my problem/s and he never responded back. I did the uninstall and it showed that it uninstalled the samba packages and I still dont see my networked windows 7 computer in the finder. I was able to at least see my sjhares before, now I dont see anything at all, and after installing this program my windows networked computer dont show up in the finder like it used to. I just wanted to try to incorporate this for sharing between my mbp and xbmc4xbox but it actually made things worse. I've tried everything and it just wont work. The status stood on red the whole time, and never went to green. Can somebody instruct/direct me on how to do this? I installed this smbUP but for the life of me I cant get it to work.
